Balance and Strength with Agata

Time: 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Join us Monday mornings this Spring for this FREE wellness class!

 

New session!

It’s time to improve your Balance and Strength with our experienced Pilates instructor, Agata Parrott.

Mondays from 9-10 AM through November 30th in the Parish Hall! Please note: no class will be held on October 12 and 19th

This class will incorporate Pilates utilizing various equipment, including:

  • Chair
  • Wall
  • Small props such as balls, bands, and magic circles.

While improving strength and balance, you will build strength and stamina so you can walk out of each class empowered and confident to live the life you want.

No experience necessary, all fitness levels welcome!

Please note: On the 1st Tuesday of each month, a visiting nurse will be present for a monthly blood pressure clinic.  Please arrive at 12:30 before the social begins to take advantage of this free service.

Grief Support Group- Fall 2026 Session

Find healing and hope as you navigate through your grief journey

We all react differently to the loss of a loved one. Whatever the cause of their death, we are never quite prepared for the flood of emotions and the feeling of brokenness within. No matter where you are along this path, the group can support you in finding hope and healing in your journey through grief.

Our free monthly lunch for our older adult residents is held on the second Tuesday of every month. The lunch is catered by a local Goshen restaurant and is followed by a brief educational program. The meal is served at 12:00 noon and is made possible with grant support from Connecticut Community Foundation.

Guest Speaker: Kristen Orr, Program Coordinator, CHORE Service.

Discover how Connecticut’s Chore Service helps older adults stay safe, independent, and comfortable at home with reliable help for everyday household needs at reasonable rates. Services are provided regardless of ability to pay, ensuring support reaches everyone who needs it.

Good Company Boxed Lunch- November

Join us the 3rd Wednesday of each month for a cold lunch box and good company!

Our free monthly boxed lunch for seniors is held on the third Wednesday of every month. Our lunch boxes will contain a sandwich, fruit, cookies, chips, and a beverage- at no cost to you, thanks to a generous grant from the Connecticut Community Foundation.

Kevin will introduce Connecticut Legal Services, a nonprofit organization that provides free legal assistance to eligible residents and explain the services available. He will also discuss the essential legal documents everyone should consider having in place as they age to protect their wishes, their family, and their future.

Light Up a Life 2026

Join us for Light Up a Life 2025

Our 2026 Light Up a Life celebration will be held on Sunday, December 6th at 5:00pm.  We will gather first at Church of Christ Congregational, 5 Old Middle Street, in Goshen, CT, and follow with a small reception in the Parish Hall.

How Can You Participate?

  1. Submit Names for our Book of Remembrance:  Each year we read off a list of loved ones who have brought light to our lives.  You may submit as many names as you’d like for us to read aloud during our service.  To make a submission, simply email your list of names to info@goshencommunitycare.org.
  2. Make a Donation: Your generous support of this event allows Goshen Community Care to continue offering important supportive care services and programs to our older adult community free of charge.
  3. Attend our celebration: The more, the merrier!  We invite you to share in this very special evening of remembrance and celebration.  All are welcome!  To view our event program from 2025, click here.
