We Love Our Volunteers!

Volunteer Appreciation 2026

National Volunteer Week takes place each year in April.  From April 19-25, 2026, we want to honor and celebrate all of our volunteers who support Goshen Community Care’s mission and allow us to provide some amazing programs and services to our community.  Without YOU there would be no US.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you do to support our wonderful organization!  Click here to watch a special dedication to our very special volunteers.

In addition, here are just a few of the special people in our Goshen community who give their time so generously to support our work:

Amy Hadden

Amy’s enthusiasm at our monthly lunch events does not go unnoticed! She is also a dessert queen, always bringing a special treat for the masses to share. Amy volunteers throughout the town, so make sure to wave ‘hello’ when you see her! Thank you, Amy, for all you have done for Goshen Community Care in 2025 and 2026! Your reassurance and support put us all at ease!

Kim Andrusia

Kim has been a staple at Goshen Community Care since 2023. She became the Secretary at our GCC monthly board meetings last year, taking the minutes and keeping us extremely organized. Kim volunteers her time for a number of organizations in town, so we’re blessed to have her putting in the time with us! You can see her at any and all of our events. Whatever she is up to, she always does it with a lot of effort and a pretty smile. Thanks, Kim!

Patrick Reilly

A dedicated volunteer throughout the Town of Goshen, Patrick has been associated with GCC for years! Not only has he served on the board of directors, Pat gives rides, does dishes, holds the door, sets up tables, puts away chairs, visits with elderly friends, and much MUCH more. Pat has also instilled the greatness of volunteerism in his children and grandchildren. Thanks, Pat, for doing so much for Goshen Community Care and for Goshen in general!

Louise Krozek

Louise has been a frequent flyer at many of our socialslunches and gatherings each and every year. She has been helping set up, serve, and break down at our Wednesday box lunch initiative since the onset of the program. Louise may be a quiet voice of strength within the community, but she is volunteering in a BIG way at Goshen Community Care. Thank you so much Louise, for your loyalty and dedication to GCC.

Jim Withstandley

Jim is a familiar face at Goshen Community Care socials, lunches, and all happenings! He is a frequent ride giver, and always does this with a pleasant disposition! Jim helps a lot of individuals within the community of Goshen, and we have noticed! We appreciate all your dedication and assistance throughout many years! The world, and GCC, is a better place because of you! Thanks, Jim!

Sarah Vallera & Don Vallera

A dynamic duo, Sarah and Don are an excellent volunteering team! They have been helping in the kitchen during our lunch events, attending volunteer meetings, and even assisted in our loan closet clean-out day this winter! We LOVE having them as volunteers at GCC… Don is also an excellent supervisor in the kitchen. Thank you, Sarah, and Don! Your kindness does not go unnoticed.

Darleene Wadhams

Darleene has been a board member and volunteer at GCC for many years. She opens her home for events every year, and does it with grace and style. Darleene is always thinking about ways to honor people who are going through a hardship, or individuals who should be celebrated for something extraordinary. Darleene’s thoughtfulness, dedication and beautiful decorating skills (she always makes the Parish Hall beautiful for Light up a Life) are traits we cannot live without! Thank you, Darleene!

Brandy Summerlin

Brandy began her journey with GCC as a set-up helper at monthly lunches, she’s now expanded her reach as a heavily involved board member who not only assists with committee work, but always makes AMAZING gift baskets and desserts for all our fundraisers or events. Brandy has many special skills, but her personality shines when she is assisting those in our community, both young and old. Thank you, Brandy for all you do!

The Family Team at Goshen Pizza

Goshen Community Care LOVES Goshen Pizza. Not only does the family team at Goshen Pizza provide meals for GCC lunch events, they also volunteer and dedicate their time to making our food-events special. Whether they are donating desserts, making extra salads last minute, or stepping up when we have food-emergencies, Resmi and Mimoza are always there to assist us. Thank you for all you do!

Bruce Oslin

Bruce is a newer member of our volunteer team at Goshen Community Care, and we are extremely lucky he found us! Bruce has gone above and beyond; giving rides, being a friendly face, and supporting some of our elderly friends in a huge way! Thanks Bruce, keep up the great work and we appreciate you.
